Keeri Samba rice is the smallest grain grown in Sri Lanka and has a distinctly acquired taste preferred mainly by the locals. When cooked, it is less 'fluffy' in texture, and gives a more filling meal with a higher caloric value. Keeri Samba rice has more vitamins and minerals absorbed from rice bran, vitamin B-6 in particular.
